Refund and Cancellation Policy
Last updated: August 21, 2026
This policy explains how deposits, cancellations, rescheduling, and refunds work at Clear Choice Exterior Cleaning LLC. It is part of our Terms and Conditions and should be read together with them.
Table of Contents
1.Your three day right to cancel
For residential home improvement contracts, you may cancel for any reason before midnight of the third business day after you receive a copy of the signed contract. Cancel in writing at the address or email in Section 8. If you cancel within this period, any deposit is refunded in full within 30 days and no charge applies, unless you asked us in writing to begin work sooner and we did so.
2.Cancelling or rescheduling an appointment
- Cancel or reschedule at no charge by contacting us at least 24 hours before your arrival window opens.
- Cancellations inside 24 hours, or a crew arriving to a property they cannot access or work at, may be charged the $75 trip fee.
- There is no limit on how many times you may reschedule with proper notice. We would rather move a date than rush a job.
3.When we reschedule
All of our work is outdoors and depends on weather. We may move a date for rain, high wind, lightning, freezing temperatures, or unsafe conditions, and we will contact you as early as we can with the next available slot.
A weather reschedule is not a cancellation. It does not create a refund, a discount, or a trip fee in either direction. If a weather delay makes the date unworkable for you, you may cancel with no charge and your deposit is returned in full.
4.Deposits
- Most jobs require no deposit. Payment is due on completion.
- A 25% deposit is required on jobs over $1,500 and on jobs where we order materials or reserve specialty equipment.
- Deposits are applied to the final invoice.
- A deposit is fully refundable if you cancel within the three day window in Section 1, or with at least 72 hours notice before the scheduled date.
- Cancelling with less than 72 hours notice on a deposit job may forfeit the portion of the deposit covering materials already ordered or crew time already committed. We will show you the breakdown rather than keep a flat amount.
5.Our satisfaction and re-clean policy
If we missed something, we come back and fix it at no charge. Contact us within 7 days of the service date with photographs and a description of the area, and we will return and re-clean it.
Re-cleaning is our remedy for workmanship. It is offered instead of a refund, and it applies to areas we cleaned that did not come out the way they should have. Shrink wrapping and holiday lighting have their own terms in Sections 10 and 11 of our Terms and Conditions, including in-season service for lighting we supplied.
It does not apply to:
- Stains and conditions listed in Section 7 of our Terms as not guaranteed to be removable, including oxidation and chalking on aged siding, rust, artillery fungus, tannin bleed, deep set organic staining, paint overspray, efflorescence, and prior etching or chemical damage
- New soiling, pollen, storm debris, or biological regrowth appearing after service
- Areas excluded from the proposal or that we could not access on the day
- Requests made more than 7 days after service
We tell you before or during the job when a stain is unlikely to fully release. That conversation is the point at which expectations get set, and we would rather have it upfront than at the invoice.
6.When we issue a refund
Completed work is not refundable, because it cannot be returned. Refunds are issued in these situations:
- Cancellation within the three day right to cancel in Section 1, or a qualifying deposit cancellation under Section 4
- Work listed on the proposal that we did not perform. That portion of the price is refunded or removed from the invoice
- A workmanship issue we cannot correct with a re-clean. We refund the portion of the price allocated to that area
- An overpayment or a duplicate charge
Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method within 10 business days.
Dissatisfaction with a result that we identified in advance as not fully removable is not grounds for a refund, and neither is a change of mind after the work is complete.
7.Disputed charges
If something on your invoice looks wrong, call us. Nearly every dispute is resolved with one conversation and a return visit, and we would rather fix it than argue about it.
Payment cannot be withheld for completed portions of a job while a re-clean is being scheduled. Filing a chargeback on completed work without contacting us first is a breach of our Terms. If that happens, we respond to the card issuer with the signed proposal, the job record, and the before and after photographs, and you remain responsible for the balance and for reasonable costs permitted by law.
